Beginning in February 2013, customers will be able to visit distinct Martha Stewart retail stores inside the majority of jcpenney department stores. These Martha Stewart stores are intended to be destinations where consumers can experience an engaging and inspiring environment and buy a variety of affordable, high-quality home and lifestyle merchandise designed and curated by Martha Stewart and her team. JC Penney is changing its holiday sales strategy.

Instead of coupons, the retailer will hand out buttons to customers starting the day after Thanksgiving. They will have a code redeemable for prizes, trips or gift cards.

JC Penney is looking to boost sales. It launched a new pricing strategy almost a year ago, which has fewer sales and more competitive pricing day to day.
