In the effort to cut back on those lengthy airport security lines, the Transportation Security Administration says it will begin taking applications for its pre-check program from all flyers.

The agency will charge an $85 fee for a 5-year membership.

Applicants that pass the background check will be able to walk with their shoes on through an express screening lane at the airport.

Previously, the program was available only to some frequent fliers.
