Taco Bell waffle taco breakfast item expanding to more locations

August 7, 2013 -- That Taco Bell Chihuahua could be hungry for breakfast. The fast food chain is expanding its waffle taco offerings.

They've been a top seller during breakfast hours at five Southern California locations.

Beginning Thursday, the waffle tacos will be available at 100 Taco Bells in California, Nebraska and Tennessee.

The waffle taco includes scrambled eggs, sausage and a side of syrup.

Taco Bell officials say their breakfast menu should go national sometime next year.
