Favre rumored to be on 'DWTS' short list

February 11, 2011 (WLS) -- The new cast of "Dancing with the Stars" will be announced in just over two weeks.

Rumors are swirling about who the new contenders will be....

USA Today reports that retired Vikings quarterback Brett Favre is one of the finalists who might make the cut. He'd follow in the tradition of other former NFL stars who bring whatever moves they have left to the dance floor.

Producers have reportedly been concerned that a sex scandal involving Favre could turn viewers off.

The new cast will be announced on "The Bachelor" February 28. And the new season of "Dancing with the Stars" begins on ABC March 21.
