August 28, 2012 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Dianne Reeves, Allen Toussaint and Roy Haynes will headline the 34th Annual Chicago Jazz Festival, which runs from August 30 to September 2, 2012.
Reeves, Toussaint and Haynes will all perform at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago's Millennium Park, 201 East Randolph Street. Other venues include Grant Park, Jackson Blvd. and Columbus Dr.; Ganz Hall at Roosevelt University, 430 S. Michigan Avenue; and the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 East Washington.
The fest kicks off Thursday at noon at the Chicago Cultural Center with a performance by Chris Madsen Bix Quartet. Jeff Lindberg's Exquisitely for Ella: Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald headlines at Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park at 6:30 p.m. Thursday's schedule
Friday starts at 5 p.m. with Ken Vandermark and Joe McPhee at Ganz Hall. Haynes takes the stage at 8:30 p.m. Friday's schedule
Saturday's schedule starts at noon with Alfonso Ponticelli & Swing Gitan in Grant Park at the Jazz on Jackson Stage. Reeves performs at 8:30 p.m. Saturday's schedule
And The Milton Suggs Philosophy starts Sunday at noon at the Jazz on Jackson stage. Allen Toussaint performs at 8:30 p.m. in the Petrillo Music Shell in Grant Park. Sunday's schedule
