Sandlot actor arrested; Thomas Guiry accused of head-butting cop

  

August 8, 2013 (HOUSTON) (WLS) -- Sandlot actor Thomas Guiry was arrested in Houston for allegedly head-butting a police officer at the airport.

Last week, Guiry, who played "Smalls" in the cult classic movie "The Sandlot," was asked to go to a sobering center at the Houston Airport after a United Airlines employee reported an unruly passenger. Police say Guiry was too drunk to board the plane.

Guiry refused to go with the responding police officer and resisted arrest, authorities say. As he was being restrained, Guiry allegedly head-butted the officer in the face.

Guiry, 32, faces a felony charge of assaulting a public servant.
