'Breaking Bad' airing last 8 shows on AMC

August 12, 2013 (BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.) -- How many of the fans who watch the hit AMC series ''Breaking Bad'' actually know what that title means? Star Bryan Cranston says he didn't know before he came on as teacher-turned-drug-lord Walter White.

He says it's a Southern colloquialism, which aptly represents his character, who turns off the path of the straight and narrow. The drama returned for the second half of its last season Sunday night with Season 5's Episode 9.

Creator Vince Gilligan said he expects the series finale to be well-received but is guarding against wild optimism. At least one character, attorney Saul Goodman, may live on. Gilligan said he is "working toward" a sequel featuring Goodman, played by Bob Odenkirk.

A behind-the-scenes documentary will also be available to fans who buy boxed sets of the show.
