Study finds cigarettes can hook kids within 2 days

Kids who try cigarettes may become addicted within days of taking their first puff.

A new study found that 10 percent of children how become hooked are addicted within two days of first inhaling a cigarette. Twenty-five percent are addicted within a month.

The study also found that children who smoke just a few cigarettes a month suffer withdrawal symptoms when they're deprived of cigarettes.

This study was reported in the Archives of Pediatric and adolescent medicine.
