Study: More sleep increases success of vaccines

Getting enough sleep can make the difference between success and failure of some vaccines.

That's the finding of university of California researchers. They measured the sleep patterns of 125 adults who got a three-shot hepatitis-B vaccination.

Those who got less than six hours of sleep per night were 12 times more likely to be left unprotected by the vaccine than those who got seven or more hours of sleep.

The study is published in Thursday's edition of the journal Sleep.
