Study: Diet drinks may not increase appetite
February 20, 2013 (WLS) -- A new study suggests diet soda drinkers do not eat any more sugary or fatty foods than people who stick with water instead.
Artificial sweeteners are a lot sweeter than regular soda about 250 times sweeter, but the new findings may ease those worries.
But don't be so quick to drink up as another new study, also in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found women who drank beverages sweetened with either real or fake sugar were more likely to be diagnosed with diabetes over 14 years than those who stuck with water.
