Back-to-school tips to keep kids healthy
August 21, 2013 (WLS) -- As students head back to school, many medical experts are giving tips to keep kids healthy.
Doctors say young children can pick up germs, like colds, pink eye and strep throat by touching their faces, mouths and noses, and then touching others.
So doctors recommend that kids avoid the water fountain and bring a water bottle to school.
Use hand sanitizer, especially before eating lunch.
And make sure your child gets at least 10 hours of sleep for a healthy immune system.
