September 9, 2013 (WLS) -- A new Harvard study suggests that women should begin getting mammograms before age 50.
This study is somewhat controversial because a previous study said women under age 50 should not get mammograms because there were too many false positives test results.
The latest study looked at 600 breast cancer deaths and found that most of the woman hadn't had mammograms and that 50 percent of the women were under age 50.
The American Cancer Society believes women should begin getting mammograms at age 40.
