CHICAGO (WLS) -- Mail delivery in Chicago is showing some improvement but still has the worst delivery rate in the nation.
The postal service spokesman says he is optimistic about the audit released by the postal service. In the last three months of 2007, mail sent between Chicago zip codes arrived the next day about 94 percent of the time. That's up four percent from the same time the year before.
Since March the postal service has added more than 300 new carriers and upgraded equipment to improve service.
