The U.S. Olympic Committee is considering moving to Chicago and if its headquarters come here, the city's best-known building could change its name.

The Sears Tower is hoping to be the new home of the USOC's 125-person administrative headquarters.

A source close to the talks says Sears Tower management is open to the idea of re-naming the building after the Olympic committee.

A spokesperson for the Sears Tower says a confidentiality agreement prevents him from commenting.

The USOC is currently based in Colorado Springs but is reportedly considering a move because of a limited workforce and poor airline service. Chicago is just one of several cities making a bid.

A decision may come as early as Friday.
