Police: Evanston car burglar caught

  

EVANSTON (WLS) -- Police in north suburban Evanston say they have captured the so-called "Midnight Auto Burglar."

Police say four vehicles were broken into in the 1900-block of Brown Avenue.

A witness gave police a description of a suspect. Officers later saw someone who matched the description in a nearby alley. That person ran away but was eventually arrested.

Twenty-one-year-old Gregory Jackson of Des Plaines is charged with burglary and criminal damage to a vehicle. Police say Jackson was found with some of the items reported stolen from the cars
