More evidence found in Des Plaines River

May 24, 2009 (CHANNAHON, Ill.) (WLS) -- Illinois state police say some additional evidence was recovered from the Des Plaines River over the weekend near the Channahon location where human remains were found last Wednesday.

The additional evidence was found Saturday afternoon.

Many are wondering if the remains may be those of missing women Stacy Peterson or Lisa Stebic.

State police would not confirm what was found Saturday or if the items were related to the remains found earlier.

It could take two weeks to complete DNA analysis to identify the skeletal remains found Wednesday.
