15 salons burglarized in five weeks

  

September 18, 2009 (FLOSSMOOR, Ill.) (WLS) -- Authorities are looking into a string of burglaries at hair salons in the southern suburbs.

The latest burglary happened early Thursday morning at a shop in Flossmoor.

Four similar incidents occurred at salons in Homewood earlier this week in the overnight hours. Police say, in all the break-ins, a brick was used to shatter a window near a door. The salons were ransacked and only money was taken.

There have been 15 salon burglaries in five suburbs over the past five weeks. Police suspect the same person is responsible for all of them.
