October 2, 2009 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Watch live coverage from Copenhagen as Chicago and the other bid cities make their final presentations to the International Olympic Committee.

ABC7 CHICAGO TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE COVERAGE OF INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE OCTOBER 2 ANNOUNCEMENT; REPORTER BEN BRADLEY TO REPORT FROM COPENHAGEN BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 29
ABC7 Chicago, the top-rated news station in Chicago, will provide comprehensive coverage of the October 2nd IOC announcement from Copenhagen, Denmark. That's the day the IOC will decide whether or not Chicago gets the green light to host the 2016 Olympic Games. Reporter Ben Bradley, who has been covering Chicago's Olympic bid developments, will report from Copenhagen beginning Tuesday, September 29. His reports will be featured on ABC7 newscasts and on abc7chicago.com through October 2.
On the day of the announcement, Friday, October 2, ABC7 will broadcast live coverage of Chicago's presentation to the IOC and the following news conference beginning at approximately 1:45 am. ABC7 News will begin its morning newscasts a half-hour earlier at 4:30 a.m. to keep Chicagoans updated. During the 9-10 am hour, ABC 7 News will provide live updates.
Then, at 10 a.m., an ABC7 News Special Report, anchored by Linda Yu and Sylvia Perez, will bring viewers live coverage of the IOC vote, the announcement ceremony in Denmark, the rally in Daley Plaza and reaction from around the Chicago area. Coverage will also include expert analysis of Chicago's bid effort and the ins and outs of the IOC vote. ABC7 News coverage will air until noon or longer, depending on developments.
Online at abc7chicago.com, coverage will begin at 1:45 a.m. with the presentations and news conferences of the final four bid cities including Chicago, (1:45 a.m.) Tokyo (3:25 a.m.), Rio (5:05 a.m.) and Madrid (7:45 a.m.). All of ABC7 News on-air coverage and Special Reports will be streamed live on ABC7's Web site. The Web will feature live streaming of the Daley Plaza rally. From 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., abc7chicago.com will feature coverage of the signature of the host city contract and the joint IOC/host city news conference.
