Chicago police say they were forced to use mace and a taser to subdue and arrest a suspect Thursday morning.

It all began on an Orange Line CTA train near Midway airport, where officers say they noticed someone acting suspiciously. When an officer attempted to talk with the man, he took off running down the tracks.

Officers say when they finally caught up with him, they had to use mace and a taser to take him into custody. Several officers were hurt during the scuffle.

There was no word Thursday evening on what charges, if any, the suspect faces.
