A trial is scheduled in March for an Illinois state trooper accused in a 2007 freeway wreck that killed two sisters in southwestern Illinois.

Thirty-one-year-old Matt Mitchell is charged in St. Clair County with reckless homicide and reckless driving.

Authorities say Mitchell was driving his patrol car more than 100 miles per hour on Interstate 64 in November 2007 when it went out of control and crossed the median.

His car then slammed into one occupied by teenage sisters Jessica and Kelli Uhl of Collinsville. They died at the scene.

Mitchell has pleaded not guilty.
