DNA evidence helped Chicago police arrest a man for a home invasion in the Hyde Park neighborhood.

Police say 49-year-old Clyde Williams is charged with felony home invasion. He is accused of breaking into the home of a University of Chicago student last October.

Police say the woman awoke to find Williams in her bed. She was able to push her attacker to the floor.

Investigators say they linked Williams to the crime when DNA found at the scene matched a sample in a national database.
