October 19, 2009 (WLS) -- A Dekalb County teenager with H1N1 flu has died.
The name and age are not being released but we do know that the teenager attended sandwich high school last year. Because of illness, the teen did not start school this year.
Health officials are investigating whether there were any underlying medical conditions.
It is the first Dekalb County death officially linked to H1N1.
