October 27, 2009 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Mayor Daley and the Chicago Housing Authority are celebrating the re-opening of a senior housing complex in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.
They held a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Britton Bud Apartments on West Surf Street. The building is a 1917 vintage hotel that was renovated to provide 173 units of affordable housing for Chicago seniors.
The complex closed for renovation in 2005 and now includes a recreation room, library, exercise room and ballroom.
