Despite Saturday's relatively warm weather, some in Chicago were getting into the holiday spirit.

Former Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams performed at the holiday tree lighting at Macy's on State Street.

This year's tree is decorated with 10,000 and stands 45 feet tall.

Williams is a Rockford, Ill. native who used to visit downtown Chicago as a child to see the holiday decorations. She talked about her Christmas wish Saturday.

"For me, Christmas is not for me. I like to bless other people, give to other people. So, I don't really want anything for Christmas," she said.

The Macy's holiday store windows tell the story of how letters from children reach the North Pole. One way is to drop them off at any Macy's store. For each letter received, Macy's will donate $1 to the Make a Wish Foundation.
