The 'Great Rake Off' in Chicago

November 7, 2009 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Saturday's pleasant fall weather provided perfect conditions for raking leaves.

The group Friends of the Parks partnered with the park district for the "Great Rake Off." Families gathered to rake more than a dozen city parks, including Garfield Park on the West Side.

Organizers say the event gives families a chance to provide a service to the community while having a good time and getting some exercise outdoors.
