Chicago kids learn about fire safety

  

March 17, 2010 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Hundreds of Chicago public school students learned a lesson in fire safety Wednesday.

The Chicago Fire Department and ABC7 meteorologist Tracy Butler spoke to kids at Alex Haley School on the city's South Side.

They talked to students about what they can do to help educate their families about fire prevention.

Kids also received smoke detectors for their homes.
