CFD commissioner kicks off Save-A-Life campaign

February 27, 2012 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Some elementary school children received life-saving advice today from Jose Santiago, the Chicago Fire Department's newly-appointed commissioner.

Santiago helped ABC7 kick off the operation Save-A-Life community outreach campaign.

First through third graders at Hayt Elementary School in the East Rogers Park community received smoke detectors and other handouts from the fire department.

ABC7's Judy Hsu was on hand for Monday's event.
