CPD issues warning after rash of robberies

  

April 7, 2012 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Chicago police issued a community alert in a near Northwest Side neighborhood after several robberies.

The latest happened early Thursday morning in the 1200-block of West Chicago.

The others happened April 4 in the 800-block of North Elizabeth and March 23 in the 1400-block of West Superior.

In each case, citizens were approached on the street and their property taken by force.

Police warn residents to always be aware of your surroundings.
