December 26, 2012 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- A convicted bank robber who escaped from a high-rise jail in downtown Chicago is believed to have left the metropolitan area.

The 38-year-old and his cellmate Joseph "Jose" Banks escaped from their cell on the 15th floor of the Metropolitan Correctional Center by making a rope out of bed sheets.
Banks was captured after three days on the lam.
The FBI says it is still actively searching for Conley.
