Police issue robbery alert on Southwest Side

  

December 28, 2012 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Police are issuing a warning Friday after a string of robberies on the Southwest Side.

Five people have been robbed in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood in the past week three of them happened on Pulaski Avenue.

The thief's description is vague, but officials confirm a man has approached his victims before pulling a gun and taking their wallets.

Police are asking people to stay aware of their surroundings.
