Willowbrook teen earns perfect scores on SAT, ACT tests

  

February 8, 2013 (WILLOWBROOK, Ill.) (WLS) -- A Willowbrook girl is at the top of her class after earning a perfect score on her SAT and ACT exams.

Lia Benes scored a perfect 2400 on the exam she took in December 2012.

The Hinsdale South senior earned a perfect 36 on the ACT exam she took in April 2012.

Benes did not study intensely for the exams. She said she just took a couple practice tests online to familarize herself with what a real test would be like.

"I don't really believe in preparing for these types of tests because you don't really know what's on it. The only thing you could do is understand your own testing strategy," she said.
