Fallen firefighter Christopher Wheatley remembered at Chicago fire station

  

August 10, 2013 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- A Chicago firefighter who died while fighting a blaze in the West Loop was honored Saturday with a star memorial outside his fire station.

Christopher Wheatley died three years ago at the age of 31.

Residents and city officials paid tribute to his bravery and sacrifice at 8 a.m. at the fire station on the 300-block of South Des Plaines.
