August 11, 2013 (JOLIET, Ill.) (WLS) -- Many former NFL players have been busy the past several days packing and distributing school supplies to local students in need.
The Retired Professional Football Players of Chicago partnered with Kohl's Cares for Operation Backpack.
Players including former Chicago Bear members got together on Wednesday to start packing.
They then started distributing the packs throughout the Chicago area on Friday and through the weekend.
On Sunday, they were in Joliet at the Boys and Girls Club on Clinton Street.
