5 arrested in Blue Line bike messenger robbery

August 12, 2013 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Five people were in custody Monday after a robbery on a Blue Line train near the Van Buren and Clinton station.

A bike messenger was approached by a group of people who tried to steal his bike.

They did not get it but did take his messenger bag and ran off the train.

Three were arrested at Van Buren and Wacker. The other two were taken into custody at Wabash and Washington.

The messenger did get his bag back.

So far, no charges have been filed.
