The man convicted last year of the 1957 murder of a young Sycamore girl plans to appeal.

Jack Daniel McCullough, 73, is serving a life sentence for killing 7-year-old Maria Ridulph. She disappeared while playing with a friend. Her body was found several months later.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, McCullough is planning to appeal, saying evidence that was not admitted during his trial prove he wasn't in Sycamore at the time Ridulph disappeared.
