Record set in biggest pumpkin competition

September 29, 2013 (HOMER GLEN, Ill.) (WLS) -- Growers from several Midwest states gather in Homer Glen to compete for who has the biggest pumpkin and this year's winner is a man from Joliet.

Jeff Schenoha's pumpkin weighed in at more than 1,500 pounds, breaking the old state record of 1,493 pounds.

He took the prize-winning belt and $4,000.
