October 3, 2013 (ST. LOUIS) -- Days after announcing an expansion into the Northeast, Hardee's is also adding restaurants in the Chicago area.
The St. Louis-based fast-food chain said Wednesday that plans call for 35 new restaurants in the Chicago area over the next seven years. The newest store opened Wednesday in Midlothian, Ill., and the next will open within weeks in Elk Grove, Ill.
The Northeast expansion into New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts is expected to include about 200 new restaurants in the next five years.
Hardee's has nearly 2,000 restaurants nationwide and is a division of Carpinteria, Calif.-based CKE Restaurants.
