Web site offers Ill. hospital report cards

  

November 19, 1009 (WLS) -- You can now look up information about Illinois hospitals on the Web. A collection of data, ranging from prices to the number of medical procedures they perform, goes online Thursday.

The Hospital Report Card and Consumer Guide fulfills the promise of legislation passed in 2003. Examples of other information available include the number of registered nurses a hospital uses, and which medical centers perform the most Cesarean sections.
