August 12, 2013 ( SPRINGFIELD, Ill.) -- A Springfield group home for people with cerebral palsy was destroyed by a weekend fire.
The (Springfield) State Journal-Register reports the home operated by United Cerebral Palsy was destroyed Sunday afternoon.
Springfield Fire Chief Ken Fustin says the three people who lived in the home, along with a property manager, were at church when the fire broke out around 1:30 p.m.
Investigators are still working to figure out what sparked the blaze.
