October 12, 2013 (SPRINGFIELD, Ill.) -- Fifty people have been arrested on child pornography charges as part of a three-year crackdown on offenders by the Illinois Attorney General's Office.
Attorney General Lisa Madigan's office says the latest arrests came after separate raids this week in DuPage County in which one Villa park man was charged with 10 counts of possessing child pornography and an Elmhurst man was charged with one count of possessing child pornography.
Madigan's office launched what is called Operation Glass House in 2010.
The operation has focused on suspects who trade in violent videos of young children after investigations revealed that was a trend.
