August 15, 2012 (WHITING, Ind.) (WLS) -- Three people are recovering from injuries in a fire at the BP refinery in Whiting, Indiana.
A spokesperson for the oil company says the fire started just before 10 o'clock Tuesday night in an area that was undergoing scheduled maintenance. The three victims were contract workers. Two suffered burns.
The third is being treated for smoke inhalation.
All three remain hospitalized in stable condition.
