84-year-old man dies from injuries in I-69 crash

August 3, 2013 (FORT WAYNE, Ind.) -- An 84-year-old man from northeast Indiana has died from injuries sustained in a crash on Interstate 69 in Fort Wayne.

The Allen County Coroner's Office told The Journal Gazette Lloyd Myers of Auburn died Friday, two days after he was injured in the crash.

The Allen County Sheriff's Department says Myers was in a pickup truck that pulled off the interstate and then was hit from behind as it pulled back onto the highway.

The pickup truck traveled across several lanes and into the barriers dividing the northbound and southbound lanes.
