August 12, 2013 (HOBART, Ind.) (WLS) -- Nearly three dozen cats crammed into four cages were left outside a northwest Indiana shelter.
It happened overnight late last week.
The animals were placed in the shelter's outdoor kennel. The staff at the Humane Society of Hobart is now trying to find out where the animals came from.
They do have surveillance video and have contacted police.
The shelter is asking for donations to help care for the cats which are not available for adoption right now.
