July 24, 2013 (EAU CLAIRE, Wis.) -- The Wisconsin State Patrol says a woman held against her will by a Minnesota man she met online was able to text for help.
The patrol says the 32-year-old Edina (ee-DEYE'-nah), Minn., man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after holding the 19-year-old Whitehall woman in an SUV on Interstate 94.
Authorities say the woman convinced the man she needed to use a restroom and was able to text for help during a stop at a gas station near Elk Mound.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press says the woman was not physically harmed.
