October 3, 2013 (MADISON, Wis.) -- Wisconsin's dairy exports are growing, by more than 20 percent from 2011 to 2012.
That's according to state agriculture officials who say they see even more opportunities abroad as Wisconsin strengthens its ties with international trade groups in China and other rapidly developing nations.
The Wisconsin State Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1g5g5fU ) Wisconsin exported more than $2.9 billion in agricultural products last year. Dairy exports alone were worth $282 million.
Dairy is the focus this week as farmers and others in agriculture gather in Madison for the World Dairy Expo.
