October 10, 2013 (WAUSAU, Wis.) -- Wausau police say they now believe a missing woman was murdered the night she disappeared three years ago.
Thursday marks the third anniversary of the disappearance of 22-year-old Stephanie Low. The Wausau Police Department says her disappearance is being investigated as a homicide.
Police aren't saying why they believe Low was murdered.
Low disappeared Oct. 10, 2010, after abruptly ending a phone call with a friend.
Wausau Police Chief Jeff Hardel tells WAOW-TV that police have identified a man as a suspect in Low's death and disappearance, but he has not been charged in the case. The man was sentenced to prison earlier this year on unrelated charges.
