September 4, 2012 (WESTLAKE, Ohio) (WLS) -- The Romney campaign is maintaining its platform of ''Are you better off than you were four years ago?''
Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan was in Ohio Tuesday to tout the campaign's message that things are not better. But someone in the crowd in Westlake took issue with what Ryan was saying.
"The credit rating has been downgraded under the Obama presidency for the first time in our nation's history. Under president... under Governor Mitt Romney.... (heckling)... Under Governor Mitt Romney the credit rating was increased. Hey, buddy, how you doing? (Chanting USA) So, people can shout, people can use words, but people cannot escape the facts. They can't escape the facts at all."
The heckler was escorted out.
Romney's campaign says the "are you better off" theme will continue through the week, leading up to President Obama's acceptance of the Democratic presidential nomination Thursday at the Democratic National Convention.
