Woodworth: Vote for Jackson Jr. causes district harm

Monday, October 22, 2012

Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. might be going back to the Mayo Clinic, but his opponents don't want to wait.

Jackson sent out a robocall to his constituents Saturday asking for their patience.

He's set to go back to the mayo clinic for more treatment in the near future.

His Republican challenger says that voters can't afford to wait for Jackson's recovery.

"Give him the sympathy vote by voting for somebody else is going to be a vote, because voting for him is going to cause him more harm, it's going to cause the district harm because we need to have that vote," said Jackson, Jr.'s Republican opponent Brian Woodworth.

Jackson has been out since June for treatment of bi-polar disorder.
