BEREA, Ohio -- Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has grown weary of seeing his name mentioned over and over in trade rumors.

"I'm tired of it," Gordon said Wednesday during the Browns' open locker room session.

"I honestly wish if it was going to happen it would have happened already, instead of dragging on. If a trade offer came in and that's what they wanted to do, so be it. If not, then just let it be known that this is where I'm gonna be. Honestly, it's part of the game and I'm dealing with it."

Gordon's statement was not a rant, merely an acknowledgement that the constant speculation wears on him. The Browns have said they are not looking to trade Gordon, but that doesn't mean teams aren't calling. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported this week that at least three teams have contacted the Browns and two teams have standing offers of a high pick and a player on the table for the second-year receiver.

"It'd be pretty naive of me to not think it's possible," Gordon said. "This is the business of the NFL. It could happen any minute, any day. If it does, it does. If it doesn't, I'm glad to be here."

The NFL trading deadline is next Tuesday.

Gordon had to answer a few uncomfortable questions, as the Browns announced that Jason Campbell would start at quarterback and not Brandon Weeden. That makes three different starting quarterbacks for the team's receivers in the first eight games.

"It's a little different," Gordon said of the changes.

So are the constant trade rumors, which no doubt have been spurred by the Browns' trade of Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts earlier this season. That deal let the entire team know that anyone could be traded.

"Regardless of all this stuff, trade rumors and stuff like that, I still need to be focused on playing my game," Gordon said.
