February 5, 2009 (COLLINSVILLE, Ill.) (WLS) -- A sign in downstate Collinsville warned drivers of an unusual highway hazard.
Someone changed the sign to read 'Daily Lane Closures Due To Zombies.' The sign is posted along I-255, northeast of St. Louis.
The prank comes just days after a someone changed a sign near Indianapolis to read, 'Raptors Ahead Caution.' And in Texas, drivers were also warned about zombies.
Highway officials in Illinois aren't laughing about the prank, saying the signs are there to help drivers get through work zones.
